Festus Nghifenwa

Chairperson of the Finance, Risk, and Audit Committee (FRAC)

Mr. Festus Nghifenwa serves on the Diamond Board of Namibia and is the Chairperson of the Finance, Risk, and Audit Committee (FRAC). He oversees the establishment of sound internal financial controls and contributes to risk identification and management. His involvement in the diamond sector is anchored in his role as a representative of the National Treasury, where he brings public policy expertise to the strategic and policy direction of the Board. He is committed to strengthening financial governance and promoting the responsible use of revenues derived from Namibia’s natural diamond resources.

Mr. Nghifenwa serves in the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises and holds a Master of Science in Economics, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Namibia and is working towards a Doctorate in Business Administration. He has undertaken various technical and leadership training programmes and holds board positions in several public enterprises, including the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Southern African Centre for Capacity Development (AFRITAC South), which is based in Mauritius.
