Ms. Filadelphia Mbingeneeko serves as the Chairperson of the Diamond Board of Namibia, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective governance and a strategic focus on the promotion, protection, and sustainability of the Namibian natural diamond industry.
Under her leadership, the Board is committed to fostering a transparent and inclusive decision-making process. As the Board of Directors represents all value chain actors within the diamond industry, she actively ensures that the diverse perspectives of Board members are considered and integrated into decision-making and policy development in collaboration with the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology and Chemistry from the University of Namibia, a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Geology from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and a Master of Science in Environmental Conservation and Management from the University of Wales, Swansea, UK.
As a geologist and environmental conservation professional, her extensive academic background and commitment to sustainable industry practices are instrumental in guiding the Diamond Board’s strategic initiatives and maintaining the integrity of Namibia’s natural diamond resources.
