Following the conclusion of high-level round-table discussions focused on the promotion of natural diamonds among African diamond-producing nations, Namibia’s Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines and Energy, Hon. Gaudentia Kröhne, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the African Diamond Producers Association (ADPA) Secretariat on Thursday, 19th June in Luanda, Angola.
The visit sought to strengthen cooperation and enhance Namibia’s understanding of ADPA’s mandate, with a particular focus on the Association’s strategic role in supporting the sustainable development and global marketing of the Diamond producing member states.
Hon. Kröhne was accompanied by Mr. Ben Nangombe, Executive Director of the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy – MIME , alongside senior officials from the Ministry and Diamond Board of Namibia.
As part of the mission, the Namibian delegation also paid a visit to the Namibian Embassy in Luanda, where they were warmly received by His Excellency, Ambassador Patrick Nandago.
This engagement reflects Namibia’s continued commitment to regional collaboration and value-led dialogue in advancing the continent’s natural diamond agenda.
