The Diamond Board of Namibia is a non-commercial public entity operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy. It was established by the Diamond Act 13 of 1999, with a duty to advise the Minister on pertinent matters relating to the diamond industry in Namibia, protect, promote and administer control measures regarding the possession, purchase, sale, processing, import, and export of Namibia’s natural gem-quality diamonds, among others.
